Scenario
After witnessing disease and poverty in the slums of New York City, Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini embarks on a courageous journey to convince a hostile mayor to provide housing and health care for hundreds of orphaned children. By the end of the film, many of them were in tears, and several were shouting, “THIS IS Cabrini!” Archbishop Corrigan was not the son of poor, working-class Irish immigrants in New York. Corrigan was born in New Jersey to Irish immigrants who ran a grocery and liquor store in Newark and were wealthy.

THIS STORY WAS SO GREAT
Ok, I stumbled upon this movie and ticket by accident. So I just decided to watch it on a Thursday night. I should also start by saying that I am not a big fan of religious movies, but I am always a fan of a good female lead.
Thank you to whoever financed it!
And the quality of the actors and backgrounds…thank God. I couldn’t stand 2 hours of a cheesy Hallmark movie. I walked away feeling so inspired and loved Cabrini and loved seeing New York as it once was.
I recommend it!
I appreciated that God was quiet in the movie. It was a movie about the time period and characters that anyone could enjoy.
