This animated anthology series introduces original stories set in the worlds of cult video games
Video games have made a huge leap onto the screen, and we’re celebrating the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations in film and TV. Clive Standen once again voices Demetrius Titus, the main character of the video game Space Marine 2.
I’ve always wanted a series like this
The episode takes place after the events of the game. Featured on the Film Junk podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024).
The Warhammer episode was definitely a highlight for me so far, and I really hope to see more in the future
When I’d watch cinematic trailers or video game cutscenes, I’d often think that some of them would be perfect for prime-time television. I knew the creators of Love, Death and Robots would end up with another animated anthology series, and I’m glad I was right.
My only complaint is that they gave some of the episodes more time
There are so many solid video game stories that this show could delve into and adapt into extended episodes, the possibilities are very exciting, and I’m glad they chose a grittier, more mature tone throughout. I’m very happy with what’s been shown so far, and I’m looking forward to what’s next.
