Nothing up until this point had come even remotely close to it
I have to say that I was lucky enough a few years ago to watch The Bureau and honestly, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen. There is a connection between the two series, apparently it is mentioned that it is "influenced" from him, but tbh I didn’t expect such a plot. Don’t get me wrong, the series up to this point is amazing, great cast, good cinematography, but it wasn’t something I haven’t already seen in the French version.
You won’t regret it
It’s too early to tell how it will play out, but I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t seen The Bureau to watch it. After Fassbender played a professional killer in David Finchers movie The Killer and I saw him in the cast, I immediately knew he was a great choice for the role. This type of series actually requires a certain amount of concentration while watching them so that you can keep up with all the characters in the plot and the little details about them.
It’s not something you’d look at while riding your bike on the indoor trainer
Some would even find them slow, maybe even boring, but it’s these characterizations and complex personal struggles that the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, is what makes them great in my opinion. This type of series you either love them or you don’t like them at all, there is no middle ground.
