Scénario
Charles, a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a private detective and becomes the mole in a secret investigation into a nursing home.. Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”. Remake of Salainen agent vanhainkodissa (2020). I’m not a huge watcher, but I devoured the entire season on the first night. It has the right mix of warm, funny, sad and deep, with a story that keeps you hooked. Ted Danson of course is great, but Stephanie Beatriz (Diaz in '99) is wonderful, and her character is someone you want to spend all your time with. It’s set in San Francisco, which of course helps with my rating, but above all, while it’s very sad at times, it’s a comedy and gives you hope for the future as we all age. A solid eight out of ten for me, one for all ages and who knows, I hope for another season.
